I travelled all the way from London to Caerphilly to buy a car from Craig at Chastons Motor Company because it appeared to offer everything I was looking for. What a brilliant decision! The car is fabulous, amazing low mileage and full service history, and Craig turned out to be a super-friendly guy who picked us up from Newport railway station and gave flowers to my wife when we had completed the deal.. Really cool! Even if you live in the OUter Hebrides I recommend you travel to this garage in South Wales to buy a car. It's worth it.

Volkswagen Transporter

Buying a vehicle from Chaston Motors was an experience I never expected from a car dealership. Our eyes shot out on stalks after the very polite and considerate owner, Craig, collected us from the local train station to view the MPV. Described on his website as being in 'lovely condition', it was in reality 'mint/as new' with not a spot, hairline scratch or blemish anywhere, inside and out. It is evident that Craig runs a happy and competent team and that he treats his customers as he would his own family. He patiently guided us through the whole process, never trying to squeeze us or to alter what we had already discussed or even intimated prior to our meeting. To say he went above and beyond is an understatement; he was superlative. We drove away from Chaston Motors as very happy customers in a vehicle that exceeded our expectations.

Vw Tiguan

Purchased a vw Tiguan from Chastons. While looking around the cars, met Kevin who was very helpful, when I decided which vehicle I was interested in. Had a test drive and decided to go ahead and purchase. All the time I was there, Kevin was not pushy and made me feel at ease to make my final decision. When I went back on collection day I met Craig who showed me want each button did and explained a lot to me about the car, which was a new experience for me, and that day also met Kyle. All in all the guys at Chastons are knowledgeable, professional in the way they deal with,. When the time comes I know where I’ll buy my next car.

Well, where do I start... we met with Kyle on Saturday to view two cars and it was such a difficult decision for us to make as both cars were beautiful and drove brilliantly. Kyle was very patient and supportive, giving lots of knowledge on what he knows about both cars. He genuinely is a great asset to the company. All the cars within the garage are top notch, the guys who work there are all so friendly and welcoming and made us feel so much at ease. Nothing was to much trouble, we asked plenty of questionsand both Kyle and Craig had the answers with no hesitation. I have never felt so chilled and relaxed on buying a vehicle and it was all down to their people skills. There was no pushy selling and they really do seem like such genuine people who only sells what they would buy themselves... there was little advisories on the last MOT which they ensured they fixed before selling the vehicle to us. we cannot wait to come back in the future, this will be our first choice of garage that's for sure! Vauxhall Corsa SRi

My son bought his first car from Kevin and Craig last week. I have to say that they are the friendliest car sales people I have ever met! Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. They went out of their way to ensure the car was exactly what he wanted. He really liked the car and it was in great condition but there were some vinyl stripes and stickers on it that he would prefer were removed. Kevin said - no problem, I'll get our bodywork guy to remove them for you. Legend! On top of that they put a new MOT, even though it didn't need one as the last one was Sept'23 and they also gave him 3 months warranty. We collected the car and it was absolutely gleaming. If you want to buy a second hand car with confidence and reassurance and first class customer service then you really should give this garage a go. Thanks Kevin, Craig and the rest of the team. Kevin was very helpful friendly and curtious, no pressure sales pitch you sometimes get with some larger car sales.
On arriving at Chastons we were met by a lovely fella who talked to us about the VW we were interested in - sorry but I forgot his name. He was very helpful until Kevin was free to speak to us.
Got to meet Craig also on collecting my new purchase. What lovely and very professional lads they both are!! Ford Fiesta

This was a replacement car after a nasty accident on the way to our holiday destination. We stayed for the week anyway and I was in touch with Kevin & Craig while away having seen the car on the internet. They held it for me with a small refundable deposit and couldn't have been more helpful from start to finish. Two really professional polite guys who couldn't have helped more.

Wow. Fantastic customer service, we had a delay in picking the car up through no fault of CMC. They were patient till all problems were sorted. Kevin kept us fully updated and I’ll miss the friendly phone calls. We travelled from Glasgow, to pick up the car and it was just as described. Almost 500 miles later we are back home, very happy.

For the first time ever I am actually going to say I trust this car sales company. What a fantastic service. From beginnging to end Kev, Craig and the other gent who works there (sorry forgot your name but made a lovely cuppa) looked after us. As we have been messed around lately by a few other companies I was at the end of my tether and went here in the hope I’d find an afforadable car without stupid sales pitch and that’s exactly what I got. Kev made us feel looked after and took care of us and when he said he’d do something he did! He even opened on BH when he was meant to be closed as it was our only day off! Drove away with a lovely seat Leon estate, immaculately clean, 12months MOT, new brakes and 100 miles of fuel! Plus a bunch of flowers.. what a service! So good I had to write another review !
About 2 months into ownership of the new vehicle, a fault came up on the vehicle, I notified both Kevin and Craig of this and straight away they said they would have it fixed, take it to a garage and they will cover the cost, no hassle or bother!
Unfortunately all garages near me where extremely busy so I couldn’t get it in for a month… The gents instead came up themselves at there expense, took it back and got it fixed and then bought it back all whilst providing me with a courtesy car, bare in mind I also live 2+ hours from the place. The car has been back with me and I have had no issues since, the communication and customer care has been spot on and far beyond anything I’ve received before and I really can’t reccomend this company enough, purchase from Chaston !!

I live in London and saw the car I bought advertised. I would never normally buy a car unseen but from the moment i spoke to Kevin I knew I was dealing with a very honest dealer and that the car would be right and I wasn't disappointed. A light flashed on the dashboard and they had to get the car to a VW dealer and get it sorted and they did. Kevin sent me texts or phoned and kept me informed all the way. When Craig arrived with the car it was immaculate. Not a bit of dirt or dust anywhere. Just like a new car and he bought flowers because of the delay getting the car fixed.Couldn't recommend them more.

I just bought my first car off of them and I could not be happier with the service. Always on it communicating with me when I had questions, they have gone above and beyond my every need to make sure I was happy with my purchase. We bought our daughter’s first car, a Ford KA from Chastons after searching for weeks. First class service, Kevin was really welcoming and there was no pressure to buy, any minor issues were sorted without any problems. The handover day was stress free with all the vehicle transfer and taxing done there and then. They even give a bunch of flowers on collection too which is a lovely touch. On our first visit to Chastons we had a warm welcome from Kevin and Craig. Went out for a test drive with Kevin while mum was having a lovely cuppa off Craig. There was no pressure and everything run smoothly. The handover day was stress free with all the vehicle transfer and taxing done there and then. To top thing off we both had a lovely bunch of flowers which was just the icing on the cake. These guys are so warm and friendly with plenty of good quality cars to offer.
